Boat Launch Rates
Tidal Influence. Albion River Campground & Marina is located on a tidal influenced river. Knowledge of the tides and the ocean conditions outside Albion Cove are critical for safe exit from and return to the marina. Ocean surface conditions are updated every three hours and broadcast by the National Weather Radio. Conditions are also available for Cape Mendocino to Point Arena on the NOAA – National Data Buoy Center website.
Use of the dock for boat tie-up is not included in the launch fee. Dock berths are available by advance registration only.
Albion River Campground’s Marina facilities can handle vessels up to 24 feet.

Day Use Boat Launch
- $10.00 for canoe or double kayak (up to 2 persons)
- $5.00 for single kayak
- $10.00 for boat with trailer and pilot – additional boat passengers pay Day Use rate.

Overnight Guests Launch
- $10.00 one-time launch fee for each boat trailer is due upon arrival.
Boat Launches
Pond Launch Ramp. The Pond Launch is paved and provides access into a tidal-influenced pond at the east end of the campground. It is suitable for deep draft boats. High tide is required to motor out from the pond into the river.
River Launch. This launch is seasonal because it is unpaved and four wheel drive vehicles may be necessary for exit if the load is heavy. Located at the west end of the campground, it provides direct river access. Because the river here is shallow the ramp is suitable for shallow draft boats only.
